Academic Guidance & Chat Policy

Academic Guidance & Chat Policy

This page explains how academic chat guidance currently works for subscribed members of GCCMedResearchAI.

Hello,

GCCMedResearchAI has been created to personally support postgraduate medical residents across GCC countries who are managing academic research alongside demanding clinical training.

Purpose of Chat Support

During the introductory phase of the platform, subscribed members have access to direct academic guidance through chat. This service is intended for:

  • Clarification of research concepts and study design options
  • Guidance in topic selection and feasibility
  • Advice on protocol planning and ethics requirements
  • Assistance understanding synopsis or journal submission formats
  • Direction on how to improve AI-generated drafts

Chat is meant to function as mentorship and academic direction rather than a full document-drafting service.

Fair Use Policy

To ensure that all members receive fair access to guidance, chat support is provided with reasonable limits:

  • Chats are designed for focused questions and short discussions.
  • Complete rewriting of protocols, synopses, theses or manuscripts is not included within chat support.
  • High-volume or repeated drafting requests may be redirected to separate expert review or consultation services once those are activated.

Flexible Service Model

At present, chat mentoring is included as part of the monthly subscription during the platform’s introductory phase.

As membership grows and workload increases, more intensive services such as:

  • Complete protocol customization and ERC-ready refinement
  • Formal synopsis finalization for ethics committees
  • Detailed thesis or manuscript editing
  • Scheduled one-to-one academic consultations

may be moved to separately paid consultation offerings to maintain quality and sustainability. All members will be informed in advance of any such changes.

What You Can Expect

My goal is to keep the platform accessible while providing honest, practical academic support. I will always aim to:

  • Give clear direction when you feel stuck with your research work
  • Offer realistic, exam-relevant suggestions based on clinical settings in the GCC
  • Be transparent about what can be covered in chat and what requires formal review

Warm regards,
